It happened that upon preparing a YouTube video and an article for the New Moon Tarot card, I conducted an I-Ching consultation. I found the alignment awesome and want to share that in its own right. In this article, we will look at passage 49, KO/Revolution.
This passage was written based on the elemental interaction of "Lake over Fire" with a Chinese character and concept that bespeaks great changes both within and without. Simply speaking, no change in circumstance, no movement, no growth or progress can ever happen without a change in heart, mind, and internal states. This brings our attention to the most effective way to create and influence our circumstances.
The passage guides us to examining our internal states - desires, passions, emotions, intentions, motivations, thoughts, attitudes, etc - and balancing or harmonizing them appropriately in order to engage effective words and behaviors, thus creating beneficial changes. Otherwise, we our expression of our internal state may not be in alignment with our goal, and a less than ideal vibration will not bring the changes we seek or allow them to last.
Likewise, the passage discusses inner balance needed to work with others when creating changes - whether in family, community, or work. It is a lesson in personal power to know when to act, how to approach, when to let go, and when to act again.
In looking closely at the Tarot's Major Arcana Death card, I found a striking resemblance to the shift in consciousness and self-management of personal power to effectively step forward on a new path, which brings great changes externally when those changes are first made internally. We change our vibration to guide us ever closer to what we choose. We flip the magnet of ourselves and reposition it among myriad possibilities that the attractive force draws us to the experience or result we seek. In this is great change and powerful creation and wonderful growth.
