Divination Spotlight Dancing with Numerology: It Takes 2...

2/2/2022

February is a 2-Vibe all month.  It takes 2 to tango, baby!  What does Numerology have to say about this little number?
In Numerology, February has a 2 Vibration in general.  The 2 Vibration is one of balance & harmony; of course, when it’s vibrating rather low it has the sense of opposition, conflict, and – perhaps – indecision. We tend to see 2’s in contrast rather than seeing how well the value of both pieces and both sides can be harmonized for growth and expansion.  This is the lesson of navigating the 2 Vibrations; it’s all about recognizing and being recognized within the Self and as the Self within the world.  Therefore, we can see February as the fulcrum upon which we balance & harmonize, or the tipping-point from one place to the next.
In this month we have such holidays and celebrations as Imbolc & St. Brighid’s Feast, which celebrate the halfway point winter’s passing and spring’s approach.  Likewise, in Asia, the Lunar New Year (aka, Chinese New Year) is often in late January or early February (according to the Lunar phases) and celebrates much the same.  It is the Spring Festival, marks a new zodiac cycle, and gives thanks to the Ancestors for their contribution to posterity and for prosperity.  In the commercial world, we celebrate Valentine’s Day (or St. Valentine’s Day), which tends to be all about the care and love we feel in relationship to others – less a group vibe though, and more a one-to-one vibe.  We offer kind gestures, sweet acknowledgments, and compassionate approaches to relating with those around us.  Of course, we also give greater attention to pursuing a mate or appreciating the mate we have.  And, as spring in the animal kingdom shows, we all want to find and be with a special someone.
The highlights of these holidays and celebrations around the world in many cultures are 2 Vibrations.  We are working towards finding balance in our lives, relating to others and the world, prioritizing the smooth and harmonious flow of apparent opposites.  So, how do we work with the 2 Vibration generally speaking, regardless of what our Personal Vibe for the month may be?  Look to appreciation for an opposite showing you the other side.  That’s useful information.  Look to finding harmony within – allowing yourself to dance into something great or walk away from something discordant.  Look for creative problem solving and conflict resolution – it’s not about right or wrong or copping-out.  It’s about finding that place in the middle that is holding the easiest and most direct path ahead.  And, no matter what, being on the fulcrum, the center-point, allows you to ground and gain clarity because what lies ahead will surely call you into another action, more growth, more expansion, and the freshness of springtime!
Peace & blessings as you find the compassionate balance within that resolves difficulties and flows into the next moment!  May Love & Trust be yours always!

Reunions, by Raymond Moody

A fascinating and scientific approach with experimentation and case studies regarding encounters and conversations with deceased loved ones.  Moody and colleagues set the stage for grieving and bereavement processes while looking at spiritual and mediumistic encounters with our dearly departed.

In their explorations, they discuss in real terms and experiential evidence with a degree of scientific objectivity particular Spiritualist concepts and other religious philosophies espousing life-after-death, spirit world existence, lucid dreaming, self-hypnosis and hypnotherapies, mediumship, meditation, and so much more.  A world of possibilities, either with personal grieving, healing, and closure or philosophical and spiritual development, I found this read to be an informative sharing of experiences in spirit communication, mediumship, and healing.

Techniques and meditations reminiscent of Mirror-gazing and Scrying, as well as self-hypnosis akin to what we saw in the Christopher Reeves & Jane Seymore movie Somewhere in Time, this book reflects on the very real experiences of participants.

We wonder... Is it all in my head?  To which there are many philosophical and metaphysical responses, the best of which I heard from renowned wisdom-keeper Sandra Ingerman.  She encouraged us that if your mind says it's all in your head, don't argue with yourself.  It is your imagination.  But experience it anyway.  The argument, the conflict... that is what keeps the experience from opening up within you, or from being useful and meaningful to you after the fact.
With that, I invite you to read Moody's & Perry's book.  Take it in, check yourself, and do your own experiment.  It doesn't matter if it's "just your imagination".  The point isn't whether or not you believe a thing is real or others tell you it's real.  The point is that you validate your experiences, who you are, and own how you will utilize the experience or information given.  Perhaps you'll discover more within yourself than any outside source could have ever provided.

Cheers to a good fireside read on a cold winter night!

Divination: Passage 1, Ch'ien in the I-Ching

I have heard Buddhist monks say, "Keep your eye on your own rice bowl", meaning always reflect within no matter what.  It's a profound, simple, and ancient wisdom that can be found in various phrasing throughout the world.

The New Moon is an excellent time for inner reflections and contemplations - which, mind you, is vastly different than miring, wallowing, and ruminating until you're isolated, depressed, or anxiety-stricken.  It's a disciplined process to gain self-awareness that should be engaged short periods of time daily, r when contemplation of challenges warrants the technique.

Let this small dose of wisdom from The Book of Changes (I-Ching) inspire our thoughts toward useful Consciousness development and self-awareness.

A Tarot Message for Today

To grow anything in spring we must nurture the soil, the earth that we have just reaped...

"This time of replenishment is sometimes a time of emptiness, but often it is a very active time of preparation...
The Tarot Card for today that presented itself during meditation and after shuffling my deck is: Key 0 in the Major Arcana.  In the deck I used or this, The Sacred Circle Tarot by Anna Franklin & Paul Mason (Llewellyn, 1998, 2011), the card is entitled “The Green Man” but it is commonly referred to by its Rider-Waite title “The Fool”.  What’s the message for us today from Key 0?

Scrying – the technique of divining through crystal gazing; also, dowsing with a crystal-pointed pendulum; describes gazing on any reflective surface, such as water and mirrors – often with the moon’s reflection on water, or on a smooth, polished surface of an opaque stone like obsidian (lava-glass, volcanic-glass)

Perspectives on The Wheel of Fortune, Key X in the Tarot's Major Arcana

The Wheel turns and causes that which is connected to move.  There are many philosophies the world over that describe the experience of ups-and-downs and cyclical movements.  We use it to describe seasons and time, growth and experiences, our place and direction in this vast universe.

Totem Animals & Helpers

9/30/2020

Totem Animals are Spirit Helpers to us.  Once the connection is recognized, they will travel with you throughout life.  I say it this way because the connection is already there but, depending on our perspective, we may not recognize that we have a connection to Nature, Animals, or Spirit.
A Power Animal may be a very close guide along our journey.  We recognize a kinship, deep respect, or inspiring awe with a particular animal or kinds of animals.  But, as we grow and change and our lives change, we may not always feel the same strong connection or affinity.  Therefore, a Power Animal may be seen as a guide who could stay-or-go as we journey in life, unlike Totem Animals which are Spirit Helpers so deeply connected to us that they often remain in that role throughout our journey.

September Numerology

9/16/2020

In Numerology, we calculate both Universal vibrations and Personal vibrations for various things, such as time references.  Each Year has Universal & Personal Vibrations, as well as Months and Days.  The calculations are difficult without a specific birth date in mind when considering personal vibrations.  So, for the purposes of this article, I decided to address the universal vibrations, relevant on some level to everyone, and tune-in psychically & intuitively to see if there were any vibrations I could pick up if September happens to also be your Birth Month.

Like Autumn, 9 Vibes bring fruition & completion, endings & new beginnings, a time to slow down & appreciate our efforts - whatever they have brought us - preparing to let go for the new beginning.
