*** HAPPY FULL MOON IN LIBRA & LUNAR ECLIPSE ***
What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from. – T. S. Eliot
~ The Core Theme of this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse:
* Moving into the future with Balance, Fairness and Consideration *
This Lunar Eclipse marks the final ending of the planetary ‘marathon’ which started in June 2012 for all of us both individually and globally. Although the last exact Uranus Pluto square was on March 17th 2015, the fact that this Eclipse lands within 1’ of that point, marks the crossing of the finishing line for us all.
As with any Marathon, crossing the finishing line marks the end of a phase and the start of a new one. The new phase carries with it echoes of the process we went through during the Marathon. This may include sore muscles, tendons, dehydration, tiredness etc. Similarly, the next few years are going to entail recuperation, as well as an integration of the changes we made over the past 3 years.
A Lunar Eclipse can only occur during a Full Moon. During a Full Moon, the Solar light of consciousness illuminates emotions that surface from deep within our unconscious. However, during a Lunar Eclipse, Earth stands in the way of this illumination. We are momentarily left immersed in total darkness, in our newly surfaced emotions. Although this is only temporary, it can help to have some tools at hand to manage and contain the emotions that come to the surface, until the Moon moves out of the shadow of the Earth. In doing so, the Sun can shine once more onto our emotions enabling them to be consciously integrated.
One of the key things about this eclipse which makes it so important, is that it is within a degree of the last exact Uranus/Pluto square on March 17th which was at 15’ 18 Aries and Capricorn. It is also within a degree of the Cardinal Cross on April 21st/22nd 2014. This was formed by Jupiter in Cancer and Mars in Libra joining the 5th exact Uranus/Pluto square at 13’ 34 Aries and Capricorn. It is re-stimulating and helping us release and integrate emotional residue from these two periods in time. Whatever emotions were repressed, suppressed or denied at this time may resurface now so that we can release them and go, as we move into this new post Uranus/Pluto square chapter of our life.
Over the past few months in particular the planetary energies have been very intense, with a predominance of Aries fire and Piscean water. The only planet in Earth was Pluto in Capricorn, whose function continues to be to dismantle the useless structures in our life, rather than to help ground us. With Venus and Mars now in Taurus, grounding in our body and on planet earth is likely to feel easier although we may initially notice some physical symptoms including tiredness. Similarly to running a marathon, crossing the finish line brings the awareness and realization of physical needs that may have been put on hold in order to complete the course. Taking care of these needs is very important right now and includes rest and relaxation, bodily attention such as massages, spa days, healthy eating, hugs, exercise and whatever else can help our body recuperate. The Sabian Symbol for 14’ Libra is: ‘In the Heat of the Noon Hour a Man Takes a Siesta’ We have run the Marathon and now it is time to rest and recuperate as well as congratulating ourselves for having made it, as we prepare for the next stage of our evolutionary journey. With the opposing Sun conjunct Uranus, Mercury and the North Node in Aries we are also invited to be innovative in our thoughts and expression, releasing old ways of thinking that no longer serve us individually and collectively. The next chapter will involve a shift in energies, particularly with Saturn squaring Neptune.
Some things to consider:
1. What parts of my psyche did I reconstruct over the past three years?
2. What emotions if any, did I suppress/repress/disassociate from during this time?
3. How have I expanded during this time?
4. What parts of my life are ready to come into greater balance?
5. Is my life based on consideration for others as well as for myself?
6. What provides healthy comfort for me at this time?
7. What is the core focus on my heart and soul level of this new chapter of my life?
Some things to work with throughout this time and coming month:
1. Lots of rest and relaxation with the help of Venus and Mars in Taurus as we recuperate on all levels from the past 3 years.
2. Time in nature to rejuvenate and rebalance.
3. Allowing emotions to surface and dissipate. Music, dancing, crying, journaling, talking etc. can all help in the process and also act as containers.
4. Meditation and body work to quiet the mind, which could still be quite fast with the stellium (including Mercury) in Aries.
5. Paying attention to diet and avoiding excesses. Noticing if we are using food/alcohol/substances in an attempt to suppress emotions.
6. Time with loved ones – physical comfort can feel particularly nurturing at this time with Venus in Earthy Taurus.
Globally, Since March 24th much of the world has been reeling from the shock of the German Air Crash into the Alps. Already struggling with the disappearance in March 2014 of the Malaysia Airlines flight 370, followed in July 2014 by the Malaysia Airlines flight 17 that was shot down over the Ukraine and in December with the the Indonesia AirAsia flight that crashed into the ocean, this latest event has truly challenged us all.
Although airline crashes have occurred on a regular basis and although we may never know the actual truth of what happened, this latest incident has brought to the fore some core issues which as a society we have tried our best to sideline.
The key one is, that individual pain is a collective issue as it affects us all.
In many ways it represents the integration of the Aries/Libra axis where the Nodes have been since Feb 2014 and which are conjunct to the Lunar Eclipse.
On a basic level, Aries as the first sign of the zodiac represents birth and individuation and Mars his ruler is the signifier of our life force and will to live. Libra on the other hand represents balance and individual adaptation in our relationships with others. The integration of these two cardinal signs reminds us that both signs are deeply inter-connected in our learning in this existence. The journey of individuation is a prerequisite for us to be in relationships with others, yet without relationships we cannot individuate. Our will to live does not just affect us. It also deeply affects everyone else. Hence we have crossed over into a new world where we are remembering that we are all deeply and eternally connected with each other and where we all face the consequences of the choices we each make individually.

*** HAPPY FULL MOON IN VIRGO ***
There is a combination of healing and ease being resourceful during the Full Moon in Virgo.
Take extra care and attention to be efficient with whatever you are doing now.
In astrology, the sign of Virgo is an earth element and mutable mode of energy expression. One of the wonderful qualities of Virgo is the ability to organize, sort out and bring order to things. Virgo also represents healing, health and nutrition.
In astrology, the full moon phase brings helpful illumination of hidden or buried patterns and tendencies within the subconscious and emotional level. Emotional waves tend to increase and heighten during this time thus tears flow, reactions happen and opportunities for healing surface.
The Moon in Virgo suggests the need for rhythm and order. Having a healthy rhythm, cleanliness and lifestyle is best for emotional-well-being. The Moon in Virgo enjoys nurturing on a practical level as well as thinks about all the details and order to things so that the experience flows efficiently.
At times, when the Moon in Virgo is off-balance it becomes too list oriented, too picky and finicky about the details and very uptight if the order of things goes off kilter. The Sun in Pisces allows for a readjustment to “go with the flow” and trust in the Divine to help soothe the rough patches. By being peace and being more fluid the overall experience becomes a happier one. Mistakes become valuable gifts of learning and awareness.
The Sun in Pisces ‘opposition’ to the Moon in Virgo suggests the potential to blend both the Cosmic view and compassion with the precise care and attention to details in daily life. Sometimes they are at odds with each other yet during the Full Moon in Virgo, each person has the opportunity to utilize Spiritual inspirations and concepts in a grounded manner. Perhaps to see the Divine in the mundane is a perfect way to summarize the energy and symbolism of the Full Moon in Virgo. Attending to daily life chores, duties is being of service to the Divine in life.
The Full Moon in Virgo makes a gorgeous ‘trine’ aspect to Pluto in Capricorn while also making an aspect to transiting Chiron in Pisces. This symbolism suggests the potential for harmonious methodical healing and streamlining. Emotional empowerment is available to overcome any snafus or challenges now. It may also be easy to zero in on what is priority and what needs to be re-arranged. If there are major adjustments that need to be made, tap into the resourceful energy and moving with the higher timing of things. Be patient until the delays or stuck points open up and things click naturally. There will be opportunities to be non-judgmental or critical and apply greater loving-kindness and compassion. Soften the edges of harshness or hurt with forgiveness and compassion yet be realistic in your approach and have minimal expectations.
Few other Astrological configurations happening:
Venus in Aries (close to Uranus in Aries) and making a fabulous ‘trine’ aspect to Jupiter in Leo retrograde. There is a harmony and positivity that supports the Full Moon in Virgo. There may people or situations which lend a helping hand and smooth things over now that happen effortlessly. Keep this in your awareness as this is life showing you, while things may feel intense or challenging there is always magical support and kindness around too. Everything moves hand in hand.
Mars in Aries is building to ‘trine’ Jupiter in Leo retrograde. This suggests super fiery passionate energy, extremely restless or even happy hyper energy that can be great for big leaps forward or left unattended may create a big commotion through impulsive actions. Slow down and consciously choose where to take action and when to be still. The desire may be to activate, motivate, act on and surge forward to express self freely and spontaneously.
Transiting Jupiter in Leo-retrograde is making a lovely ‘trine’ aspect to Uranus in Aries while making a ‘inconjunct’ aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. This suggests bold, creative visions and ideas yet to implement them in physical reality make require patience and adjustments. It may be bringing up a lot of frustrations, unexpected changes and a need to be creative in re-arranging plans or ideas. It may require trust in the higher timing of things. Let things unfold without force or pushing them too hard. The Jupiter/Uranus aspect is the second of three so use the harmonious energy and observe what is working and supportive so more of that is drawn into your life.
What you may be noticing is the next and final round of the major transit building – “Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn at 15 deg.” which will be exact on March 16th, 2015. Intense, extreme, powerful, unexpected are great keywords with this transit. Work with the potentials of Uranus/Pluto consciously rather than being in denial. Deal with the perceptions and emotions rather than stuff them until they explode. Stand your ground with firmness, love and respect for self and others. Remember, off-balance energies whether extreme or not are being pulled up to the surface for purging and clearing. It may not feel good, yet it is for the greater good and evolution for self and the collective. Keep things in perspective and it helps you move through the muck.
*** HAPPY FULL MOON IN TAURUS *** November 2014
The Full Moon in Taurus brings attention towards the practical, physical and tangible things in life.
Taurus is an earth element and fixed mode of expression. Through the highest potential of Taurus, each learns to appreciate, value and feel worthy.
The Full Moon in Taurus at its potential suggests emotional self-worth, solid lasting value and being full grounded and present to various emotions so they impart the wisdom and thus keep the emotional level flowing.
This particular full moon contains an array of emotions, powerful intensity, as well as wonderful potential for healing.
The Sun is in Scorpio opposing the Moon in Taurus. This suggests striking a balance between the practicalities and emotional needs. Emotions are heightened during a full moon phase and this full moon has an amplification to it.
With each Full Moon, there is an illumination regarding a habitual tendency, emotional reaction or something you are unaware of that becomes illuminated. The attention is on the emotional level and subconscious.
During a Full Moon phase it is time to honor your emotional level rather than fight it, fear it or ignore it. Be present to your own emotions and needs.
*There are beautiful blessings in store.*
Venus in Scorpio is widely connecting to the Full Moon in Taurus while this configuration is making a harmonious ‘Trine’ to transiting Chiron on in Pisces retrograde. This suggests the rich potential for emotional healing something from the past and transcending the pattern through willingness to surrender the extreme ‘right/wrong’ into acceptance of the Spiritual purpose and learning the issue or situation brought into your life. Love may expand and soften the rough edges of the pain that is held from the past. Peace may be felt as you have the courage to delve deep into the core of the issue, face it and address it with all of your heart and Soul.
Transiting Jupiter in Leo is making wide aspects to the Full Moon in Taurus, Venus in Scorpio as well as Saturn in Scorpio. This symbolism suggests certain lessons and need for practical changes issues around love, self-love, self-worth, values and trust which may appear magnified. You may notice it being a “lack or limited” experience that requires your choice and willingness to shift into acceptance for growth and healing to take place. It is time to integrate in what you say you believe in, deepen faith or put into application what you have read as a concept to see if it is of value in your life and situation now.
Many may feel this energy as possible overwhelm, exhaustion and even a weariness. This indicates a need to rest and recoup rather than take on more than you need to.
For example, be around people who inspire you to grow, heal and expand love rather than engaging with high intensity melo-drama people. One will help you feel uplifted while the other may drain your energy and pull you into the symbolic abyss with them.
It is helpful to do things in moderation during this Full Moon in Taurus even if the desires pull you into excess or over the top. Slow down and ask yourself what is…. moderation? How can you be wise with your resources without engaging in fear this can be emotional resources, financial resources or mental resources? Hording out of fear will only inhibit the flow of financial prosperity for you are holding back energy to a point of stagnation. Look at the underlying fears, anxieties and worries you are engaging in. By being in gratitude for what you do have, you open up to more of the flow of energy to line you up with the abundance in Life.
Be sure when you decide to be generous it is given to people who will value it and will conscious appreciate your gesture. If the person does not value themselves, they may not value what you share with them and if you over give…then you may end up in resentment at some point down the road.
Remember also, the highly potent astrological aspect building is Mars ‘conjunct Pluto in Capricorn while making a ‘square’ to Uranus in Aries retrograde (building now until Nov. 13th or so). The potential is intense raw energy being channeled into practical avenues for long-term results. Yet, the rawness of this potent energy may be internal building frustration, limitation, and out of control experience. It is prompting an important “catharsis” of some kind by symbolically pushing on every button that needs your attention. Perhaps it is around trust, control, surrender, being assertive, letting go, being realistic and grounded, patience and so forth. Think of it as an important miniature timer being set off to expose hidden desires, motivations, fears and areas that require new wise action. Strong reactions, anger and seething emotions will indicate what and where you need to pay attention. This is the next step for growth and perseverance in the timing of things.
(More on that later)
The Full Moon in Taurus brings a beautiful message about how we choose to use our resources and if we are valuing self and others in an equal manner. For some people issues around money, trust and lack of abundance may arise. Look at this as a insecurity and fear subconscious pattern that requires you to heal and transform something within you to get you in touch with a more financial flow.
Many Blessings to you all!
Divination: Pendulums: Dowsing, Divination, or Telekinesis
It can be difficult with most divination tools that require a certain amount of interpretation to discern & discriminate where one’s personal and subjective bias ends and his/her clear-connection to the Divine begins. It takes practice, honesty, integrity, healing, and meditation to achieve that kind of clarity with any consistent outcomes. That’s why people who do use focus tools must be well-versed with the tool and constantly in-practice, willing to learn more about themselves, their techniques, and how Spirit works with them through the tool.
The sciences can be a little bit easier, Scientific Palmistry, Astrology, and Numerology – for example. But, even these sciences lend themselves to a discerning interpretation that can only be as good as the individual “reading” the data offered.
The use of pendulums and dowsing rods (such as L-Rods & Y-Rods) is a combination of scientific inquiry and intuitive interpretation, or divination. The use of dowsing tools exists somewhere in the crossover between the science of dowsing for water sources and the intuitive access to knowledge.
The science of dowsing utilizes an external tool, such as a pendulum or dowsing rod, to map and/or locate a water source, such as a ground-water well-point. The individual holding the tool is the actual gauge – a channel for the earth & water vibration which would register a response in the dowsing tool. The process of mapping underground water sources & channels, such as pipelines for a building’s plumbing and irrigation for a garden, is a very step-by-step & scientific inquiry which can thus be proven through evidence (as in building, excavation, and other such records). The process of dowsing is excellent practice for attuning oneself to the earth & water energies and achieving results which can help refine techniques and develop consistency.
This kind of attuning & grounding practice may then be translated into one’s connection to the High Self, where intuitive knowledge can be tapped for reliable divination. Hence, we come to the use of the pendulum (or, dowsing rods, if you prefer) for the purposes of guidance & clarity (divination), healing, and sensing & shifting energetic patterns in a space or environment.
The pitfalls of utilizing this type of tool for divination is the same as any other, but carries with it a remarkable solution to developing through & beyond such challenges – “Is it me, or is this real?” In dowsing & pendulum divination, you who hold the tool are the tool. When you have a pendulum in your hand and it moves for any reason, it is vibrating with your vibration. If searching for a water source, you need to be attuned to the energies beneath your feet & channel them through your body to the pendulum to discover if you are indeed standing above a well-point or an underground boulder buried centuries ago. If asking a question for a friend standing in front of you, you need to be a channel for your friend’s vibration as opposed to your own opinion or emotional response to your friend’s query.
In practicing the grounding & attunement exercises that go along with dowsing for water sources & channels, coupled with regular meditative practice, a person can readily strengthen his/her connection to the Divine/High Self and be able to clearly discern & discriminate the “crossover point” where that connection is taking place. This can increase consistent & accurate outcomes and decrease the phenomena of telekinetic bias, wherein your own energy & biases may influence the response to the query (the vibration registered by the tool). It doesn’t mean that one who is well-practice in his/her art-form will not fuzzy that line and make some biased interpretations. However, it makes the lesson that comes from even such experiences all the more poignant.
Book Review: Cassadaga, Where Spirits Meet, by Marilyn Awtry
Marilyn Awtry does it again, weaving the true story & facts into a manageable understanding and fascinating exploration. Awtry offers insight into how Cassadaga, Florida developed and the impact of the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association for the Modern American Spiritualist movement at the turn of the 20th century.
Awtry gives us a character sketch and deep insight into George Colby’s real mission in the southeast, his influence on the developing areas, and his participation with the Spiritualist movement. Further, she develops our understanding of the details of the Spiritualist movement in the expanding context of Central Florida during the 1890s through the 1920s. Awtry’s impeccable research and straightforward interpretations and unbiased admissions bring a new perspective to all the stories and second-hand “knowledge” that have surfaced throughout the years about the history of Cassadaga, Florida, Lake Helen, Florida, and the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association.
Eventually, as it does, history catches up to the present moment. The final chapters in the book review & reflect the individual stories behind those who make Cassadaga, Florida what it is today – a little village of spiritually dedicated mediums, psychics, metaphysicians & healers surrounding & within the SCSCMA residential community.

This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and our sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can't sit on our feelings. We need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic "illumination" occurs in our own lives.
However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It's time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
The Sun is in Gemini as it opposes The moon in Sagittarius, this Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the "lower mind" and Sagittarius represents the "higher mind". The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit, and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the "here and now". Gemini is quite comfortable in his or her immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
"Say not, I have found the path of the Soul. Say rather, I have met the Soul walking upon my path. For the Soul walks upon all paths. The Soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed. The Soul unfolds Itself like a lotus of countless petals." -- Kahlil Gibran
